Mona Leung is the hair “artist” I have always been looking for. After about 5 years of not great haircuts to the point that I was looking for a different hairstylist after each cut to see if she could fix up the mistakes from the last one. I wasn’t happy. I was at an event and Mona and I got talking and she very tactfully let me know she could really help me with my hair. I felt a twinge of hope and so I went.

I’m in my sixties now and my hair has changed. I always had thick, big hair with curls. Now, it is not as thick but I was still stuck in trying to do my hair the way it was before. Mona explained to me that my hair is thinner now and she gave me an amazing cut – it makes me look 10 years younger. It’s flattering, really easy to do – I wash it – blow dry and use a curling iron and it looks good for 4 days! I used to wash my hair every two days and it never really looked good. It’s a totally different look, more sleek and updated. I feel like she was able to tune into the essence of who I was and somehow she knew what I would like to look like even though I didn’t and I love it. She also did a great job colouring my hair. I got comments from all my friends and family – especially the men. They loved it!

I felt so good, I recommended two of my friends, also in their sixties and like me, wanting to look younger. Both of them, like I was, stuck in an old image of themselves. Mona tuned right into the texture of their hair, how to bring it to its full potential, and tuned into the essence of their personalities – both creative, wild women and gave them both a look that astonished them. They couldn’t believe they looked so good, that their hair could even look like that. And, they did feel prettier and that they looked 10 years younger. One was a wash and wear kind of gal but when she saw what a little work with a curling iron could do, the right one for her, she was willing to change. So, at age 68, she’s now styling her hair for the first time and absolutely loving it.

Mona is a hair transformation artist. She knows hair, she knows people, she knows how to take you where you want to go (even if you don’t) and how to communicate with you so you’re willing to open and take a risk and boy, does it pay off. I trust her implicitly.

Then I found out after the fact who I was dealing with. She’s a top senior stylist, top award winning colourist and is known for her excellent work doing updos for weddings.

She’s top notch and fun to boot!

If I had one suggestion for Mona, I would say to do a before and after picture for first time clients so you could see the transformation magic she does.

It is my joy to share the wisdom I gained of listening to my body and falling in love with it and myself as I nurtured my son Markus J when he was in my belly. I began to trust the intelligence of my body and its intuition for harmony and healing and developed a new awareness of bringing compassion to everything that was happening in my life.

My transformation into motherhood, experiencing the sublime of giving birth, inspires me to help awaken others with the message that we are made of love and are loving beings. Being aligned and connected to our innate and natural power and purpose of Love, to love and be loved, brings peace and harmony to ourselves and all of our relations, and extends out into the world from one person to another.
