Owner, Senior Stylist

Yung possesses a wealth of experience in all facets of hairdressing/hairstyling with over 20 years expertise in the business. Having owned and operated his own hair salon ‘Scruples on 4th’ in trendy Kitsilano, Yung brings to Markus J both artistic talent and operational expertise. Interesting fact: Yung speaks fluent Shanghainese and Mandarin.

She’s probably the one that will greet you at the front, answer your phone calls, wash your hair, iron your clothes…Just kidding about that last one! But this one right here is probably the do-it-all of the salon! She’s the one that keeps it all together!

Senior Stylist

Tim has been in the hairdressing industry for 6 years, specializing in cuts and highlights. He enjoys competing in hair competitions and has in fact won several, including most recently the 2009 mens and womens cutting competitons. He also won the 2007 Vancouver ABA Men’s fashion cut and style category and placed top 5 in Canada for Goldwell Trendzoom Color Challenge 2007 and most recently the winner of Revlon Professional’s Stylemaster Competition . Tim speaks fluent Mandarin.

Paul Tse
Senior Stylist

Paul has 15 years of experience under his belt. He is meticulous with his hairstyles and is an expert in the art of Ionic Hair Straightening. He also works wonders with blonde bombshells! In his spare time he keeps the staff on its toes with his unique personality.

She loves her Earl Grey with a hint of sugar. As a graduate of Blanche Macdonald, this bubbly personality will always be there to greet you with smile on her face which is probably why her hobbies include cheerleading during her downtime.

Kim believes that healthy, shiny hair starts with regularly treating the hair with deep conditioning treatments which is why his clients love him for it because they know that he really cares. When he’s not busy in the salon working on his clients, this athlete can be found giving swimming lessons or playing badminton/basketball. So whether its hair related or not, he’s up for the challenge. “Bring it on!” He says.
